by life is to short injust a side note that i found interesting and sort of upsetting, the wt that the jw's will study on sunday the 18th of september has the words undeserved kindness mentioned 50 in just 19 paragraphs.
really they need to beat it into their people that they are very worthless and do no deserve anything from god?
so much so that they use the words over and over, don't they.. lits .

Is changing the "truth" / presenting "new light" really so bad?
by Zana inplaying devil's advocate here.... what's the difference between the gb changing bible interpretations compared to parliaments all over the world changing laws?
although the us constitution (=bible) remains untouched, congress passes i don't know how many new laws every year.
and of course people are expected to follow them.

"It seems that resurrected ones of the 24-elders group may be involved in the communicating of divine truths today. Why is that important? Because the correct identity of the great crowd (Christians????) was revealed to God’s anointed servants on earth in 1935. (Exactly how was it "revealed"? Apart from anything else, in paragraph 11 the self-proclaimed "faithful & discreet slave" is unashamedly claiming that it may be receiving divine truths from a dead person who has been resurrected to heaven. This makes the G.B. "detestable" in their god's eyes - not just ours! Deuteronomy 18:11,12

Would the WTBTS apply such language to Islam? (silly me, rhetorical question!)

Interestingly, the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses is a fully paid-up member of the Christendom club - according to every authoritative definition of the word "Christendom."
The term 'Christendom' is universally defined as, Christians collectively, the Christian world, Christianity - except by the WTBTS/Jehovah's Witnesses who translate it as being "all religions which claim to be Christian, but are false." J.W.'s claim that they are not part of Christendom.
Not only do they perversely translate wordings in the Bible, they also want to bastardize dictionary definitions.
Just a side issue - can a registered charity (in the U.K.) make such vitriolic statements about similar charities, with impunity? I've never heard Catholics or Mormons publicly say such nasty things about J.W.'s

Found Another Medieval Coin This Evening
by cofty ini got in an hour metal detecting this evening and found this almost immediately.. it is a silver penny of henry ii minted in london by "davi" between 1180 and 1189. this adds a king i didn't have in my collection.
i now have the series of henry ii - john - henry iii - edward i - edward ii - edward iii.. i now need richard the lionheart to fill in the gap.
he was the brother of john and reigned after the death of henry ii.
